Children's Prosthetics

Pediatric prostheses are completely customized, depending on whether the limb loss is congenital or due to trauma. During the treatment process, the child's age, developmental stage, and physical needs must be regularly monitored. Starting prosthetic use as early as possible is crucial for children's mobility development and adaptation to daily life. Because the growth process is rapid, pediatric prostheses need to be replaced more frequently than adult prostheses and are planned to suit their development, just like changing clothes or shoes. A correctly designed socket structure and joint fit form the basis of comfortable and safe use in pediatric prostheses.
